Robert Pratten is CEO and Founder of Transmedia Storyteller, an audience engagement company and provider of Conducttr, an interactive marketing and storytelling platform. He has more than 20 years experience as an international marketing consultant and has established himself as a thought-leader in the field of transmedia storytelling. He is author of the book Getting Started in Transmedia Storytelling: A Practical Guide for Beginners.

What are you currently working on that you’re excited about?

I’m developing a “pervasive entertainment platform” called Conducttr. Think “photoshop for the transmedia storytelling community”: an interactive marketing and entertainment tool that allows creative people to tell stories across social media, email, text messages. Born from the needs of alternate reality game producers, Conducttr not only interacts with the audience in real-time, it publishes content based on events and time & date and manages the project workflow – keeping track of websites, locations etc. and allowing seamless collaboration between writers and experience designers.

What are some of your favorite sites and / or mobile apps and brief why?

My favorite app at the moment is Expensify – it’s a huge time-saver and ensures I don’t lose or forget to report costs.

The Torchwood app is quite nice too – a motion comic with puzzle-checkpoints.

Currently reading new transmedia project Angel Punk http://www.angelpunk.co and comic Blue Estate. I’m currently playing & reading Homefront.
