Hubbub recently completed a 4-week pilot of zombie thriller SALIGIA-7 which included live events on the streets of Amsterdam, 20 minutes of broadcast TV, 42 minutes of online video in 17 webisodes, 2 story blogs, and 29 Facebook pages. Ian will review key learnings, explain how the pilot was pitched, developed and produced, how it was launched and received. He will show how the pilot’s 3 narratives unfolded across various channels and how they intersected, what he was interested to research and test, and how participative audiences engaged and surprised the cast and crew. Participants can ask questions on budgets, crew, pitch documents, expectations or any other project-related issues that might arise.
Mark will talk about and demonstrate some of the uses of technology he is applying to telling the story of THE LOST CHILDREN in unique ways. From the application of technology to live events, to using the crowd to manipulate the film in real time, to tools that allow the audience to remix assets and tell their own stories. Mark will show how a technological approach can enhance a story.
Michael will discuss the implementation, successes and failures of his Interactive, Gamification Powered Networking experiment and installation, both of which will be available to attendees at the event.
Where the Yellowstone Goes is Hunter Weeks’ 5th feature documentary film. He’ll discuss what he’s learned from previous films (i.e. 10 MPH and Ride the Divide) in order to make his latest film, Where the Yellowstone Goes. He raised money from sponsors, launched a successful Kickstarter campaign, and has no outside investors. He’s not just focused on making the film, though. He’s already laying down groundwork for an extensive transmedia-focused launch. iSupportFilm.com was a key component of his Kickstarter campaign for Where the Yellowstone Goes and will become the root of his distribution strategy.
