DIRECTIONS TO UNIVERSITY OF THE ARTS – TERRA HALL

From Philadelphia International Airport: Travel north on I-95 past Philadelphia International Airport to Broad Street/Pattison Ave. Exit. Travel north on Broad Street approximately 2.8 miles to the site.

From New York, New Jersey and Points Northeast via NJ Turnpike: Travel south on NJ Turnpike to Exit 4. Take Route 73 North and follow signs to Route 38 West. Travel Route 38 West and follow signs for the Benjamin Franklin Bridge. The exit for the bridge will take you to Route 30 West (also known as Admiral Wilson Blvd.). Cross the bridge ($3.00 toll) to the 6th Street South exit. Follow 6th Street south to Spruce Street. Turn right onto Spruce Street. Remain on Spruce Street until you reach Broad Street. Turn left onto Broad Street.

From the North via I-95 South in Pennsylvania: Travel on I-95 South to I-676 West. Exit at Broad Street. Follow 15th Street to Chesnut Street (approx. 4 blocks). Turn left onto Chestnut Street, then right to get back on Broad Street. The site is located at that intersection.

By Public Transportation: The University of the Arts is an easy walk (5-15 minutes) from the R1 Airport Train and other Regional Rail lines (Penn Center/Suburban Station), subway (Walnut-Locust Station on the Broad Street Subway or 15th Street on the Market/Frankford Line) and PATCO trains from New Jersey (15-16th Street Station). It is about 1.3 miles from the Amtrak Station Building (30th Street Station).

COMING FROM NYC: TRANSPORTATION

By SEPTA and NJTransit: A cheaper option than Amtrak is to use the two local public transit systems: SEPTA (www.septa.org) and New Jersey Transit (www.njtransit.com). Enter Penn Station at 8th Ave and 33rd Street and use the NJ Transit ticketing machines to purchase a ticket to Philadelphia 30th Street Station. You can find the timeline here. Take NJ Transit to Trenton, New Jersey. Then transfer to SEPTA’s R-7 which is in front or across the platform. The R7 train will take you to the Philadelphia 30th Street Station, which is about 1.5 miles from conference site. You can walk, take a cab, or pick up the Market Street subway line to 15th Street. Round trip tickets are approximately $38. The whole trip is usually just over two hours, but can sometimes be as long as three hours, depending on the schedule of the NJT train.

By Bolt Bus: The cheapest option is to take Bolt Bus. Bolt bus picks up on 34th Street and 8th Ave by Tick Tock and drops you off in Philadelphia on 30th Street between Market & Chestnut, about 1.5 miles from conference site. This is an outdoor stop at the southwest corner of the intersection. Next to the pickup point is the Thompson Institute and across the street is the Post Office. The station is approximately 1.5 miles from the conference site. You can walk, take a cab, or pick up the Market Street subway line to 15th Street.
